Our History
Duval Paint & Decorating began in 1968 when founders Dick and Alberta Jurney moved from Birmingham to Jacksonville and opened the first store on University Boulevard. After serving in the military, their son Frank joined the business in the early 1970s, later taking ownership.
Over the years, the company expanded, adding locations in St. Johns Bluff and Jacksonville Beach (2003 and 2004) and acquiring the Mandarin store in 2014. Today, the legacy continues with Frank’s nephew, Sean Thompson, the third-generation owner, leading a dedicated team that has been with us for decades.
